Start here to learn more about scale hives.  The Scale Hive Protocol is a great resource for information about tracking the honey bee nectar flow by keeping a scale hive. 

Navigate under the Honeybees tab to learn more general information about bees and beekeeping. Much of this site is still being constructed, so please be patient.  The Site Data tab will show where the current (and in some cases planned) scale hives and scale hive data can be found, the start of our Honey Bee Network.

We are trying to develop a network nationally.  Currently most of our sites are concentrated in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Some sites are historical, while others are current or just getting started.
